At Grace Community Church we value the following areas of life and ministry, and while this is not a complete list of all that we as believers value, it helps form the unity and foundation of our church.
We value the Word of God as being the only authority for faith, doctrine and practice and that it is the infallible, inerrant Words of God.
We value the sacraments of bread and wine, which we receive weekly, and the sacrament of water baptism.
We value prayer as essential for our spiritual growth, for it brings us "face to face" with the living God. Prayer should be done in private, in small groups, in church and in our personal relationships.
We value discipleship as a way to train up and mature us in our faith. We believe it is accomplished by the hearing of the Word, the reading of the Word and the study and discussion of the Word of God with other believers.
We value missions and outreach. We believe that loving our neighbor as ourselves includes both those neighbors close to us geographically and also those around the world. We want to be a church that seeks out people in our own community but also helps transform the world for Christ throughout foreign nations.
We value community and believe the body of Christ is meant to function together as a unit, each having our own distinct role in the life of the Church. Together we can care for the needs of the body and always seek to show mercy to all.
We value sound doctrine. The cornerstone of any church is what they believe and why. At Grace Community Church we believe that Reform Theology, which founded its roots in the Protestant Reformation, helps us to understand the Word of God and guides our preaching and discipleship.
We value the miraculous works of the Holy Spirit and believe there is a supernatural working going on in the life of each believer that cannot be explained in words, but can be seen in signs and wonders as they are revealed through the Holy Spirit.
